How to watermark a PDF
- Open the editor and choose your PDF.
- Click Watermark and type your text.
- Adjust size, angle, colour and opacity.
- Apply it to all pages.
- Click Export to save the watermarked PDF.
Control how it looks
Set the text, then adjust size, angle and opacity until it reads clearly without drowning the content underneath. A diagonal, semi-transparent mark is the usual choice for drafts; a lighter horizontal mark suits documents that still need to be comfortably readable.
Applied to every page, removable in one click
The watermark goes onto all pages at once, and a single Remove watermarks action takes it off again. That makes it safe to try different wordings before exporting, and easy to keep one clean master file and produce marked copies from it.
Reposition it if you need to
The mark is placed centrally by default, but it behaves like any other element: select and drag it to sit somewhere else on the page if the middle of your document is busy.

Watermarking exists precisely because a document is confidential or not yet final — which makes uploading it to a random web service a strange first step. Everything here happens in your browser instead.
Why "no upload" matters when you watermark a PDF
People usually reach for this tool while marking a confidential draft or an unreleased proposal. Nearly every free PDF website handles that by uploading your file to a server, processing it there and deleting it at some later point you cannot verify — which means the confidential draft itself has been copied onto infrastructure belonging to a company you know nothing about, together with your IP address and the file name.
Trump PDF takes the upload out of the equation. The whole editor is a single page of code that runs in your browser, and every operation — editing text, compressing, merging, OCR, export — happens on your own processor. You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use the editor. You will see requests that download the application, and no request that sends your document anywhere.

Yes, within the editor — one click removes it from every page. Once exported and flattened into a file, treat it as permanent in that copy.
Can I use an image or logo as a watermark?
The watermark tool is text-based, but you can place an image with the insert image tool and copy it onto each page.
Will the watermark appear when printing?
Yes. It is part of the exported document, so it prints with the page.
